Our Mission
Reconnect Gaming is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps individuals struggling with addiction by offering a unique and supportive outlet—gaming. We believe that gaming can be an effective tool for recovery by offering a positive, engaging way to disconnect from distress and reconnect with life.
Our Vision
We envision a future where therapeutic gaming is recognized as a vital support tool for addiction recovery and mental health. Through immersive, inclusive experiences, we aim to create safe spaces for healing and reconnection through technology.
Our Story
Founded by Tori Hogrebe, Reconnect Gaming began with a vision to bring structured, purposeful gaming experiences to individuals in rehabilitation centers and recovery programs. We provide access to high-quality gaming as a way to offer a temporary escape and a path to emotional regulation, connection, and joy.
We host community events to raise awareness and funds for charities supporting addiction recovery, aiming to normalize conversations around mental health and promote healing through creative engagement.
Leadership
With a background in Computer Science and administrative leadership in both medical and academic settings, Tori brings experience, empathy, and innovation to Reconnect Gaming. She founded the organization after personal encounters with addiction in her family and a desire to use gaming for healing.
Lauren oversees operations and logistics. With a background in Information Systems and a heart for service, she ensures our mission is executed with clarity and compassion. She is passionate about outreach and upholds our standards of equity and care.
Chelsea is responsible for financial planning and oversight. With her experience in financial systems, administration, and team management, she ensures transparency and accountability in all of Reconnect Gaming’s fiscal operations.
